Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Flag Football Showcase?
A flag football showcase is a structured player evaluation event designed to generate verified athletic data, standardized performance metrics and professionally captured film in a controlled environment.
Unlike tournaments, where performance is often difficult to evaluate consistently, showcases are built specifically for objective athlete assessment and recruiting visibility.
At Flag Prospect Series events, athletes move through a standardized evaluation process that includes athletic testing, position-specific drills and controlled competitive reps. Each component is designed to produce measurable data and evaluative insight that can be reviewed by coaches and recruiters.
What does the registration fee include?
Registration provides full participation in the Flag Prospect Series evaluation platform, including:
- Verified athletic testing and measurable performance metrics
- Position-specific skill evaluations
- Controlled competitive reps
- Professionally captured event video
- Athlete performance data and results
- Access to an athlete profile containing event data and video
Each athlete leaves the event with verified performance information that can be referenced and evaluated beyond the day of competition.
Athletes will also receive an event jersey (which they will be required to wear that day) that is theirs to keep.
How long is a showcase?
Showcases are designed to run efficiently while maximizing evaluation opportunities.
Most sessions last approximately 2 - 3 hours, during which athletes rotate through a structured evaluation format that includes testing, drills and competition.
This schedule ensures athletes remain active throughout the event while generating a meaningful set of performance data.
Can an athlete participate on both sides of the ball?
Yes. Athletes who play multiple positions may participate on both sides of the ball during the event.
To ensure efficient rotations and meaningful evaluation reps, athletes will be required to designate a primary evaluation position group. Athletes may designate a secondary position, which will carry a supplemental position fee.
Who can attend?
Flag Prospect Series showcases are open to:
- Registered athletes within the designated age divisions
- Parents and family members
- College coaches and recruiting personnel
- Event evaluators and staff
The environment is designed to maintain a professional evaluation setting while still allowing families to support participating athletes.
Will this help my athlete get a scholarship?
Participation in a showcase does not guarantee recruitment or scholarship offers.
However, Flag Prospect Series events are designed to help athletes present their abilities in a clear, measurable and standardized format, which can significantly improve how easily coaches are able to evaluate talent.
Verified data, film and performance metrics allow coaches to review athlete performance with greater clarity than traditional highlight clips or self-reported statistics.
Is the athlete required to sign up for an account?
Yes. Parents of ahtletes must create a Flag Prospect Series player account and profile in order to register for events and access their performance data and video.
The player profile serves as the athlete’s central record of showcase participation and evaluation results.
Is my data and information shareable?
Athlete performance data and event film are intended to support recruiting visibility and evaluation by coaches.
Player profiles are structured to allow coaches and recruiters to review athlete performance information while maintaining appropriate privacy protections for personal data.
Each profile will be equipped with a shareable link that can be sent to coaches and recruiters. Anyone viewing this content will have limited access without creating an account.
What makes Flag Prospect Series different from other showcases?
Flag Prospect Series is designed around standardization and verified evaluation.
In many recruiting environments, coaches must evaluate athletes using inconsistent film, self-reported statistics or limited in-game opportunities. Flag Prospect Series addresses this challenge by placing every athlete in the same structured evaluation environment.
Each participant moves through a consistent testing and drill format that generates verified performance data, professional video and comparable evaluation metrics. This allows coaches to review athlete performance with greater clarity and confidence.
The goal is to create a centralized, objective evaluation environment for flag football athletes.
How are athletes evaluated at Flag Prospect Series events?
Athletes are evaluated across multiple components of performance.
On-site, these typically include:
- Athletic testing and movement metrics
- Position-specific drills that assess technical skill and execution
- Competitive reps that demonstrate performance in game-like situations
Other evaluation tools and reporting opportunities will be made available to athletes including:
- Personality/Character assessments
- GPA reporting
- Test Score reporting
Each component contributes to a more complete picture of an athlete’s abilities. Data and video from these evaluations are captured and made available through the athlete’s player profile following the event.
